"Adam Čehovin is a Slovenian jazz guitarist from Nova Gorica. He started his musical journey at a young age, first as a self-taught musician and then with the guitarist Marko Čepak.
In 2018, he was admitted to the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory of Music in Trieste, where he graduated with honors with a master's degree in jazz guitar under the guidance of Riccardo Chiarion.
There, he had the opportunity to learn from some of the most renowned jazz musicians in Europe: Klaus Gesing, Giovanni Maier, Roberto Dani, Nicola Fazzini, and Matteo Alfonso and many others.
Over the years, he has attended numerous courses with famous jazz musicians, including: jazz guitarist John Stowell, saxophonist Charlotte Grewe, and bassist Chris Morrissei.
He actively collaborates and performs with a diverse range of musicians. Currently, he is involved in three ongoing projects:
- Od Tam Kjer Smo Doma is a collection of compositions that represents a journey through memories and places related to the concept of 'home.' Each composition represents a 'room,' carefully constructed to encapsulate a piece of memory or a place dear to the heart.
- Peta Stran Neba, a vocal-guitar duo in collaboration with Lara Božak, that draws its repertoire from the soft melodies of jazz and South American ballads.
- DiaLoG, a guitar duo project in collaboration with Maj Špacapan. Their paths crossed during their studies at the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory of Music in Trieste, where they began their first rehearsals and duo creations. These are completely improvised concerts where, as the name suggests, they create a dialogue between instruments with a repertoire that includes jazz classics, contemporary pieces by renowned performers, and original compositions."
